Language Training Programs
To hone the Tourism students’ communication skills, an intensive training in English and other foreign languages is incorporated in their course. Jocson College has already established her English Language Program for Beginner and Advanced Learners. This program is designed to develop the students’ communicative competence and performance in all forms of discourse of the English language, such as in speaking, reading, writing and listening. Same thing with the foreign language training, the Tourism students are likely to meet opportunities abroad particularly ASEAN countries. Fluency in foreign languages serves as a foreign language requirement.
Basic English Language Program
Jocson College Basic English Language Program (JCBELP) is a short-termed English Language Program for non-English-speaking students. It is designed for absolute beginners who have had no or very little English instruction and beginners who have encountered the English language in school but never acquired any real grasp of the language.
Advanced English Language Program
Jocson College Advanced English Language Program (JCAELP) is a short-termed English Language Program for foreign and local language learners. It is designed for students who have had acquired English instruction and have encountered the English language in school and considered it as a second language.
Foreign Language Course
This course is designed to introduce students to any of the following foreign language and aspect of foreign cultures:
It focuses on communication activities, vocabulary building, reading and writing.
